A few inches of my driver's side door (frame) seal adjacent to the top hinge has become loose, hardly surprising after 31 years & before I leap in with adhesive just want to check if that was the method originally used by the factory. There is a slight lip on the inside edge of the rubber & I'm wondering if that should be retained by the grey plastic(?) trim in lieu of adhesive. If sticking the rubber is in fact the solution, what product would be the most suitable to bond rubber to metal?
