One question about the sump guard is this; I have the type with recovery points, and jacking points on, (don't know make as I got it from the breakers), but it does foul slightly on the bumper, meaning that the recovery points aren't on show, and the jacking points aren't accessible as they're both covered slightly by the bumper overiders. Has anyone else had this, and is there a less obvious way to remedy it, other than just hacking a chunk of the bumper out of the way???

A picture paints a thousand words so:

I just cut enough of it away .. I left the plastic bit on 'cos it's handy to tuck the rad muff into when I cba to put it on ..

Cheers, but it's changed a bit since then!

Not sure the plastics would either fit, or look good! ;)

Did mine 'cos it kept scraping off road and I couldn't be bothered to keep twisting it back again .. It used to look smart when we first got it, about 12 years ago. That lasted about 6 months .. ;)

Will be doing something to the front soon .. bent both ends a few times now, so it needs something .. ;)

Is this a standard bumper made into a winch bumper?

Almost .. The winch tray is welded to the steering guard, which also has the failead bolted to it. The bumper simply has a cut-out to allow movement .. it has nothing to do with the winch, keeps it well hidden and awkwar to steal .. conversely it also makes it harder to see the rope when winding in, but it's not really a problem.

This thread has it all .. ;)

and specifically the winch tray/bumper is from post #29 .. ;)
