Chubby box fitment?

Hi all silly question maybe , just fitted a Brit part chubby box by removing middle seat base only . Wedges in so nice and secure however lid only open 2/3 as it hits seat back. If I remove entire seat frame what secures chubby box in place?

Cubby box, not chubby box!

Remove the seat frame & back!

Cubby box bolts through the plate under the centre seat.

I thought it should be cubby box but advertised as chubby box. Ok thanks I’ll remove entire seat frame. Mine has a chequer plate screwed in place assuming original has been lost. Would this be bolted straight through onto plate then?

Has it got wooden rails under it?
Drill through the seatbox cover and screw through the cover into those rails from underneath.

Yea it has maybe that will be better. Cool thanks I’ll do that. Well impressed with quality of it. Somewhere to store stuff other than over middle seat
