I have a 1984 Range Rover 3500 auto Vogue with Air Con , which is still working
It has a 3 speed Chrysler Torqueflite box which works well BUT the transfer box lever seems to be stuck in high range - I have managed to move it once or twice using a hollow tube over the lever to force it to move and low range actually works fine but I would like to free the lever off or fit a new or recon transfer box . Can anyone please advise me how to free off the lever or where I can get a transfer recon box from kind regards Graham

its been a couple of years since i rebuilt a 3 speed box ,normally the linkage seizes rather than a t/box issue ,the lever housing has a cross shaft this normally gets tight were it passes through lh side aliminum end cap it be worth taking housing apart cleaning shat etc and applying plenty of grease ,t/box for 3 speed is a 1.003 and isnt so common
