Hey guys, I'm thinking of getting my 2.4 defender chipped by Welcome to JE Engineering | Products
Have any of you had your defenders chipped and what do you think of it?
I've heard better consumption and obviously it will be faster.
Standard: 122bhp and 360Nm
Stage 1 For £550 165bhp and 443Nm
Stage 2 For £1025 180 bhp and 450Nm
Thinking of just stage 1 but could be persuaded by stage 2 if people recommend

Cheers,

Rob

to be honest anything would be better than standard. we have one at work and its pants compared to the old td5 for towing.
I would querey their figures thats pretty high, but for a grand i'd expect that i suppose. ask allisport what they can do for you.

I got my puma defender chipped by charlie at twisted performance, plus a K&N filter to stop the smoking once the re-map was done.

Better all round, the standard map was undriveable!

Well worth it, i also had the speed limited taken off, not that i go over 82 regularly but it helps when hurtling up and down the m'way and you need to overtake when there is a space.

£750 all in, and well worth every penny. LR dealer in Swindon agreed it makes a world of difference to the 110.

Also, when you get the re-map, make sure that any new maps that are released will eb available FoC to you if you get the ECU flashed by landrover for any reason. the last thing you want is to take it in for a service or fault, the ECU gets flashed to standard and you are left with another bill for the same re-map!

finally, i have noticed a slight improvement in MPG purely because i rev it less to get up to speed.

hope this helps.
