Does anyone out there know if it is possible or legal to fit three forward facing child seats across the rear seat of my '53 plate Discovery 2 or whether one can fit into one of the forward facing seats in the very back. Children are aged 2 1/2, 0 and 0?
Thanks.

If two of the children are 0 & 0 i.e newborn i would think it is illegal to have them seated in a forward facing seat no matter how you arrange the seats as they need to be able to support their own head weight to sit in forwards, hence why newborns are normally placed in rearwards facing child seats. The link below should give you a better idea as to your requirements.

you should have enough space. graco car seats come with booklets that tell you which cars and which seats you can use them in... if they are tiny ones in rear facing carseats ones with bases are ideal and can be used with either lap or diagonal and lap belt config. britax do a forward facing seat that can be used on just a lap belt too.
other option is halfords or mothercare both do safety check things to make sure carseats are fitted properly......

my older 2 both had booster seats when we had littlest in rear facing seat, so not as big a problem.
as long as seats in boot are forward facing you should be ok too. it's the sideways dixie seats that are a prob as the car seats aren't tested on them, so they can't say whether it's safe or not.
hope all this makes sense and helps...
it's probably as clear as mud tho, as have been up for hours and have poorly child moaning in my ear!lol

Thanks to you both for this information. I should have thought that young ones will be in rear facing seats, clearly not thinking too straight at the moment!

Lol, probably got your hands a little full to let the brain think too clearly. Hope you get the seats sorted.
