Hi there
Can anyone help please, I have a 1999 freelander 1.8 petrol, the cooling fan does' t appear to cut in, have done a few checks, have disconnected the brown sensor plug and the fan then does cut in, if a connect a new sensor that is cold, the temp gauge still reads the same, is there a seperate sensor for the temp gauge, have read that the ecu reads the brown sensor, if this is true does this mean the ecu is faulty, does anyone know of a website where I can download a wiring diagram in order to sort my problem out, has just got too hot on a couple of occassions, I have recently fitted a new water pump, pretty certain head gasket is ok as no sign of water in the oil or visa versa and there is no extreme pressure in the water system to suggest there is an issue, thermostat is new and does open although it does appear to get pretty hot ??
