On purpose mind ;)
And it worked :confused::D

I had changed original had nice nissens rad spensive one brand new, that’s the one pump went through :mad::(
Shoulda done it all at once got BP one now (has baffle) been fine. Lucas stat with hole in it, metal impeller pump, new hoses, Disco viscous ....probly few other bits

My readings wouldnt be fair here is my guess.

How many blades on the disco fan? Another variable perhaps? ;):D

It’s the one on the left.
The one to the right is an E36 one that also fits, but is opposite direction so constant lock,
Also has 11 fins

What else is there better than this chat, better than Covid TV and lockdown blues, I've much appreciated the tenacity and the information, gives cause for thought. Especially as my Red Rovy has done a few Kms 300K+ and is the day car, the Green Rovy has only done 30K Kms (19K miles) and so a future full of things to go wrong. One thing about buying 2nd hand RR's is a lot of the issues have been already sorted. That was definitely my experience on my first car bought at 183000 miles and we kept it for ten years. Only sold it to come to France. All you guys are a source of inspiration and joy, the banter is a bonus.! I've still to figure out how to use the Nanocom without breaking it, ( if I haven't already). Half way up Caerphilly mountain without a viscus fan is not funny! I've got a spare one for the Green Rovy, just in case. So happy when I'm driving it presume it's the same for anyone owning such an idiosyncratic vehicle. Bless us.!!

300TDI I think. Thought it was OE when I got it so I’ve got mixed up somewhere. Wammers told me look up standard one and mine is definitely not standard RR one.

Not far from me. I’m on the other mountain (the steeper one where they don’t do all the dogging)
I won’t ask what you we’re doing up Caerphilly mountain.

Alan May like photos.
(But blot out his face) ;)

I had second hand so was cheap why I bought it. He said it would fit and he was right.
Part number is PSG or something, il get it if you need it.

Less blades but bigger more room for air :eek::p
Fairly sure mine's OK, no overheating issues and I've been sat in traffic in the sun last couple of weeks. At some point I'll buy a newspaper and check.

I've got the Disco 2 one. As stated, my engine runs rock solid at 91 degrees centigrade. Cannot remember what stat I fitted but think OEM, not Land Rover and definitely not Britpart. Water pump was metal impeller and rad is a Nissens one.
