Hi, I've just bought a 1981 S3 88in Safari. As it will be a rolling restoration (something to work on with my son) and I am not very familiar with Land Rovers, I thought it best to join the forum as I'll be needing advice.
The S3 is in brilliant shape underneath - looks like a galvanised chassis and good sills; new floor in the back and in footwells. Engine needs work, but I'll post separately with my questions on that. And the interior can best be described as being an example of the rat-look.
