I just got a damn cheap insurance quote off adrian flux, but it requires me to be a member of an owners club.

what is the cheapest club i can join, that will be recognised as an owners club by the ins. company?

Well could reckonen a couple but not local to you so knowing insurance companies get out clause not much good

try your local landy club one maybe part of the ALRC, most do know about people joining just for the cheapo insurance, and not going to moan about it cause they get the subs. it often keeps some alive :)

I pay ~£12 pa, get a cert as well to send off, and the club excellent value lots of cheapo accodation, free greenlane days out, 20 odd social meets a year looks after the members.

Be carefull of the One make owner clubs some OK some just awefull, £30 pa get couple of crappy newsletters per year, cappy "FREE" badge, (extras ones £5), do B****** all else, execpt very good at DD your subs next year.

(I think the Land Rovers Club linked above is only open to LR employees.)

The best bit about clubs is participating, so if were looking to get involved then a local club would be ideal. However, because you are doing this for financial reasons, you might like to look at the fringe benefits of joining certain clubs.

You're not a Freelander owner so you won't be interested in the Freelander Club's excellent deal on silicon hoses, for example.

The Camel Trophy club is open to all enthusiasts and has an excellent link with MJ Fews Land Rover in Gloucestershire meaning that discount genuine parts have saved me the £20 membership fee over and over again - but not so handy for someone who lives in Kent!

Cheers

What I'm saying is that you don't necessarily want to join the cheapest club, but look at what the clubs can offer you.
