cheap egr fix 96 300 tdi

Probably been discussed before,but I have blanked my egr with a 2p piece-just fits in the pipe line at the inlet manifold end-just fits inside the gasket ,with a bit of scraping.The inlet manifold is disgusting,full of black snot,but this will have to wait until later,for full cleaning,surprisingly the intercooler looks clean as a whistleThe performance increase is considerable,I can now hold 70mph on any mway hill,and it will now do 80 mph (don't want to blow the old girl up)-even round town I can keep up with traffic,instead of lagging behind.On economy,the last 100 lts of bio have given 615 miles,so ~28 mpg and this was all at 70 -80 mph,(previous before egr blank,was 26mpg)so I am very pleased-just the decat to do now,and an invisible egr blank for 2p

Ya tight get, ain't ya worried it might dislodge?

It can't go anywhere-on the inlet side the hole is a lot smaller,and the end of the egr hose is too small as well,the gasket centres it beutifully-if I had the balls,I'd sell em on ebay for £1.50 each-lol
