Cheap chinese diesel heater

By cheap I mean real cheap 68 quid for the full kit on Amazon.
Lots of good reviews on the chinese ones on the boating forums, most annoying I spent twice this on parts alone to fix my webasto!
Slow delivery at early/mid December, but hey its 68 quid.
Dont shoot me if it doesnt work, but I have just ordered one.

I bought this one a short time ago its in my workshop at home. solar panel on the roof to a 12v battery
filled with red diesel & away ye go ...works a treat

The quality of them is hit and miss! Mine was £110 sold as a 2kw but actually a 5kw. Worked flawlessly for over month. About 3 hours a day on a time

Never seen that site before, heaters not cheap, but the spare parts are so cheap its funny, good to know for the future.

The one I bought didn't work, I traced the fault to either the circuit board or the controller. In the end I bought a new board and controller, it was the controller, with the new one connected it fired up. It also was missing the exhaust muffler. They are a bargain for the money but expect problems.

Out of curiosity how much were the new parts?

I can't remember exactly, the controller supplied with the heater was the electronic display type but I replaced it with one with a simple knob, I think the controller was around £7 and the circuit board maybe £12-£15. Not very expensive at all.
