Hello everyone
I have just joined. Bit of a tough one for my first post. I have. Land Rover 90. Just failed on the chassis. In you opinions. Do I go for full chassis. Or as the front is good just replace rear half chassis.

Hi and welcome!

A full galvanised chassis would be the best bet if you can afford it. Let us know how you get on.

Welcome...can you weld?...post over in relevant forum section with pics of chassis...a rear chassis section replace compared to a full re-chassis is a whole different ball game...

Hi and welcome.
Without looking at the chassis, I would say do a full replacement. You will only be putting off the inevitable otherwise.
Good luck with it.
:)

Thanks for your reply. Just a crazy moment when it failed. Still dumb struck
Mine had a new rear 1/4 when I bought it, some time later I found that the dumb irons had rotted out. I bought new, and stripped the front end off to weld in. At this point I found the chassis I needed to weld to was like paper

new chassis installed last July via Alpine Restorations in Halifax.

No time, space or kit to do the chassis swap myself. But some on Landyzone have, and some great blow by blow threads on the subject.

:)
