Chassis Issues!!!!

Am currently in the process of putting +5" terra firma shocks on and so hav to change the top rear shock mountings. however removed the rear right one to find a fookin big hole! (see pic) is this going to be repairable? havnt removd the left one but expect it will b the same :(

yes,just get it plated and re-drill the holes.
 
Just cut it out see how far it goes untill you hit good metal again! then acid it inside (well everywhere) Then red oxide then seal the red oxide with sum hammerite etc you must seal the red oxide as it is porous! weld the plate in re drill if necessary bobs ur uncle fannies ur aunt! job done!
 
is it worth cutting out the chassis or just welding a bit of plate directly over the top? as long as the plate is welded to gd metal
 
cut it out or it will rust through in a year or so. thats why mot welding always fails because they often just plate over the rust. in theory though if the rust is killed chemically it shouldn't matter.
 
Rust killer from halfords is poo! If you want proper stuff acid ring these guys
