Chassis # decoding

I bought a LR 90 and it was advertised as a 1986. It was a RAF and the individual bought it from the MOD in 2001. I was decoding the vin or plate number and acording to what i can find it is a 1983 or 1984 model. The plate number is SALLDVAC7AAXXXXXX, can anyone tell me what I have. The 90 is very clean has a very well taken care of chassis and does not appear to need much more than love and attn.

That's the one I normally recommend but had a Senior moment and couldn't remember it lol

Remember that with ex-military vehicles the year often refers to registration rather than manufacture.
