Charge lead

Can I bolt my optimate charge lead direct to my Discovery 4 battery, there seems to be a lot going on there with other stuff connected, I only want to trickle charge the battery now and again not put electric to anything else.

I have them (different make) on a bike.
Dont see an issue as most of the stuff wont take anything till ignition on.
You can get adaptors to plug into the towbar socket, if you have the 13pin 1, which means you don't have the bonnet open which may cause issues as to the state of alarm? just remember to unplug before you drive off.

Ok thanks, I would just top up the battery some days when not in use.
