hi i have changed my NA 2.5 for a disco 200tdi 2.5, since that the engine sounds like it over reving, i have been told if i change my transfer box for ne ut of a disco it will help is that true? and i have got a mate who sed he will swap mine for one off a disco, ok?! now how hard are they to change? i am rather technical, but i have never tryind this before, so any help or pics would be great help thanx

Quite a big job, but not as bad as a gearbox change (just remove props, linkages, warning light connectors and disconnect from gearbox I think). Mr Grunt has got lots of pics of his rebuild, including lots of a T-box.

it's actually very easy if you get some long M10 bolts, cut the heads orf and cut a slot in the top - you then undone the tranny box bolts one at a time and replace with the long bolts - when all have been done you can slide yer box along the length of the botls and then down using a jack (or a man with strong arms)

like what it shows ere
