changing my TD5's water pump

As the title says, im going to change the water pump tomorrow. Im hoping this solves a really annoying rattle!

Do i need to bleed the coolant system? If so is it ok to catch the current coolant and re-use it? i only did the coolant a couple of weeks ago.

And do i need to take off the rotor filter or can i get the plate off and pump in without?

Engine: If Td5 Have to take it off,sorry mate, why would it solve some rattles?

Ive still got a dodgy rattle fella when its idling. Take the aux belt off though and there is no more rattle so im hoping that means its not too serious. ive been driving it round like that for a week or so now. Replaced the tensioner and the aux belt. Im basically replacing the cheapest items in a hope ill get the right one.

Thought i might have to take the filter off, thats not an issue but i guess ill have to go to halfrauds now for some more coolant.
