Is it worth changing the 3 barrels on the locks, I can currently open mine with a paper clip:( or will the new one's be the same?

And is it a big job?

Kind regards
Chubster.......

If you are gonna go to the trouble of stripping them out, then do so, clean them and I'd bet they start working ok. As a quick repair, try spraying WD40 into the locks a couple of times over a week or so.

Get them changed for decent ones, mine you could open with a few different devices and it may have contributed to the reason why my defender was stolen on Saturday night :(
And get a Disklok and 'Ard Case to go over your steering wheel and pedals

you will find that new lock will be the better option as you probably know the lock has brass tumblers and the barrel is white metal the bass eventually cuts through the white metal barrel over time .bearing in mind they are easily opened new or old with a flat bladed screwdriver so would not rely on them for security

Some of the door handles are plastic and nor metal sleeved, so they do wear out you might find that it's the handle thats knackered.

If your going to change the barrels instead of stripping all of the door down to get at the retaing screw on the back of the barrel. Drill a 10 mm hole through the pannel and put the screwdriver through there save a lot of messing around.
