At the end of 2010, my auto Disco had a 300 Tdi engine. JE Engineering fitted a Stage 2 ECU chip and my standard intercooler was gas flowed for £650. It made a big difference to my standard EDC auto.
Since then, I've had a 2.8 TGV fitted with a mechanical pump. The standard intercooler has gone in favour of an Allisport full width cooler.
The question is, can the ECU be disconnected and sold (what does it run apart from the fuel system) or do I replace it with a UK standard ECU or because mine is ex-Jap do I need to hunt for a rare ex-Jap ECU?
I'd love to know so I can sell the ECU and cooler to get a bit of cash back.
