Change of steering wheel. Is it possible?

I would like to change the steering wheel on my tdi 200 to one off a tdi 300.
I have had conflicting comments on this of landy buffs. Some say I can and some say I can.t
Can anyone clarify this please.

But I have just bought an aftermarket one to replace mine.

The listing says the 200tdi will not fit anything else! So I would guess not. But if its not too expensive then why not try it? May be able to make it fit if not flog it.

Or get an aftermarket one for £60-100

yes it will fit as my 200 tdi one had fell apart so bought one of a 300tdi defender to put on there fitted with no problems but my 200tdi defender is one of the last 200s made cant see as that makes a difference though) but i have seen adverts on steering wheels saying this will only fit 200tdi etc

check the parts book for the change over as later 200s had the newer (as fitted to the 300s) column - only way to guarantee the wheel will fit is to buy the column it was attached to as well
