I'll do you a swap?

I fancy a cubby box and I've taken the centre seat out .. very good nick as no-one used or needed it! I'll get a couple of pics in a bit, can you take a few of how good the cubby box is? We'll have to work out a date to swap 'cos I'm away all this weekend and possibly the next ... but where in East Yorks are you? I get a few hours free every day ...

Mine started life with 6 seats, had the middle seat added at some point, then been reverted back to 6 :D I find that with seats in the back the box is more useful, but with just the front seats I can see that a middle one would be handy for occasional use :)

Actually, whilst my middle seat looks newish, it's two different seats with different cloth patterning, and the rear stubs don't fit the holes in the frame! I never knew, we had it in for three weeks max when we bought it!

If you still want to swap fine, if not, that's fine too .. but I'd be interested in buying the cubby box anyhow, providing it's in decent condition!!

Hi Paul,

Sorry for the delay. My cubby is crap. Not bad condition, just a very old one, with no cup holders or anything. I've not seen another like it actually, I guess in an ex-MOD one. I'm not sure it's what you will be after.

Shame about the seat. I really need one that fits together, as it's going to be used a fair bit, and I don't want to run the risk of it falling apart!

I have a centre seat that I was going to use in my rebuild but haven't.
I don't know what it is worth but it does have a new retrim kit fitted.

For info, I think there are two widths of centre seat. I fitted a 90 centre seat in my Defender and its tight as anything to fit. I've just bought a 110 defender of the same year, and the seat is narrower, which is possibly why you have a different width seat squab. IMO the wider seat should fit Pauls 90 but the squab needs changing.

The width required depends on which seats you have fitted and which mounting holes you use. If you have county seats and fit them in the outer holes your tilt handle fouls with the post. So if fitted to the inner holes the centre needs to be smaller.
