Centre Console removal & Sunroof set.

Hi All,

I am trying to work out how to remove the side panels off the centre console, as I want to get the blubs replaced in the hevac and the clock (Although now the clocks have gone forward there is now sunlight to see the instruments) anyway, for the life of me cant seem to work out how to do this.

I have followed the steps on rangerover.net for the centre console side panel removal, taking the switch panel off, removed the transmission panel and that is where I get stuck. The article shows a screw that needs to come off on each side panel, but my panels are leather covered and cannot locate this screw. I dont want to pull too hard in case I break/snap something behind the panel.

Does any one know what I need to be doing next, is it a case of now pulling the side panels off with brut force?

And another thing........
Now the sun is out the ye olde sunroof now comes in handy, but however many times I have tried I can never get sequence right for the sunroof to set for the single button press.
I have done the fully back, fully forward, up and down but just cant get it to say SUNROOF SET, do you need to pause for a second before starting the each action?

When I removed mine the screws were at the bottom towards the rear (I think and move seat fully back). Then it was a wiggle about and the clips released. I think there's a screw at the front also behind the lower dash panel.

As for setting the sunroof.

I opened mine fully, closed it. Then pressed up and press down and it set

Sunroof set is ALWAYS A PAIN!!!!... Puish the button & HOLD IT IN until it fully opens & CONTINUE TO HOLD IT IN for 5 Seconds..... Do the same as it closes (When its shut CONTINUE TO HOLD THE BUTTON IN for 5 Seconds.


Same for the "Tilt" side ... After reachin "FULL TILT" Hold the button for 5 Seconds Same again when you shut it (From Tilt)



You think YOURS is a pain ...... mine STOPS at HALF WAY ... (Its getting to be a serious contender for a 10Lbs LUMP HAMMER!!!!

Stops half way on the slide? Mine stops 3/4 way open, but then carries on if you press the button again.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that there is a setting on the BECM for this. No idea why it shouldn't just go all the way back by default though..
