Hi All...
Have a problem with central locking on my 2002 Freelander TD4 3 Door.

Key (in door) or remote will lock all 3 doors, BUT will only Unlock drivers door?
Passenger has to be opened from inside, rear door have to use the switch on the dash?

Have read about the 'Inertia Switch' but also that a faulty rear door soleniod may be a the issue?
Any advice appreciated chaps?

hiya

they are normally programmed to one push of the remote to open the drivers door only, then second push on the remote button should open the passenger side and rear door,

if the passenger door doesnt open at all no matter how many times u press the button it sounds like a faulty motor.

may i ask have you checked the fuses , see if any of the control bars i side the door has come off, stuck motor, etc

if you do a search on here there is a lot of different reasons of what could be causing your problems

i recently could only lock the front door and wouldn't unlock and found the motors to be at fault

got hold of two brand new genuine ones , they are not too bad to replace just a bit tight and fidely

gary

Thanks for the reply gstuart.

Problem is that now the drivers door locks with passenger and tail, but won't unlock.
2nd Press opens passenger and tail though, used to be the other way around
