central locking probs on my new p38

hi guys,
have just bought a 96 p38 dse and am really happy with it appart from those few niggly probs you expect from land rovers.doors will lock on key and audible blip sounds but will not lock button....there is also a fault showing fob battery low(i've put new ones in)and key in ignition fault...are they all connected and how do i solve ?????
any help from p38 gurus most welcome

might just need resinkin, you only have so long to change yer batteries before gremlins.
