Good morning. My name is Akin from Nigeria. I acquired a Freelander in 2008 and it has been helpful. Of recent I am having problem with the central lock and I think this forum should be of help to me. The response of the door to the remote controller is very sluggish and I have to press so many times before the response. The doors make some squirrel noise for some time; even when I activate the central locking button the doors start to make this noise. The annoying thing is that the vehicle will not start then and the security light at the dashboard will completely go off and the vehicle will not start until sometimes when it starts to flash again. What could be responsible for this?
