thats odd. i dont remember having any trouble with mine can you remove the back rest from the base? maybe gives you more room? i dont know.

It appears to be one piece. Im not sure they are the right bolts but I cant see any other ones as I said earlier I seem to be loosening the seat belt clips (for the driver and passenger seats)as I go. Ill try and post some pics but this will probably prove even more frustrating

Seatbelt mounting bolts are on the otherside of the seatbox edge on the rear bulkhead. the seatbolts are 1/2" (13mm) and on the seat rails themselves

It sure was but I managed alone from underneath with a ring spanner and a vicegrips. Ive built a cubby box and have it in now I think it looks good Ill post some pics when I figure out how to

No ye don't! Ah got mine from the top and the bolts go into nutsert thingies. It's a bit fiddly but if ye think the bolts are longer, then why don't ye undo them both so far and then lift the seat a bit until they come out?
Just seen what ye've got! Might be diffrunt tae the older models:doh:

Mine must be different the two rear bolts had a torx head and about 20mm space above them Im sure there is some way to get in so little space but I dont have the tool for itNo ye don't! When i bought my 110 i put the middle seat back in - it took 2 of us, one to operate above, one to hold the nut still underneath.

get a set of torx keys. They look like allen keys but have a torx head or put the torx bit in the bolt and use a spanner to turn the bit.
I can't believe you can be having this much trouble undoing 2 bolts
It does not bode well for your future Landrover ownership.

The nut is attached to a flimsy bit of steel plate which is pop rivitted to the underside of the seat box. They rust easily and when you try to undo the seat bolts the plate can twist & rivets can easily tear out then the nuts underneath just turn with the bolt.

Read the first page of the thread. I have a set of torx bits but they will not fit in such a small gap even if they could I wqs on my own and could not have stoped the nut underneath spinning. The way I got them out was the only option I hadget a set of torx keys. They look like allen keys but have a torx head or put the torx bit in the bolt and use a spanner to turn the bit.
