CD ERR4 and boot door

Hi all,
I am having some problems with my 2004 freelander TD4 CD changer....

I put the discs in, and it reads them fine, however it then comes up saying CD ERR 4.
Can anyone help?
Also I need to adjust the rear door window as it does not open far enough to open the boot - any ideas?

it may not like one of the discs, try them just one at a time in position 1(make sure they're the right way up)

the rear window needs recalibrating, easy to do, disconnect battery for 10 mins, the reconnect and window will lower automatically. ignition on then raise with dash switch, two beeps and job done.

The other possibility with the window is a cheap repair kit has been used and the motor pulls the window down but also over compresses the springs, which means effectively the window doesn't drop far enough.

Its weird having to faff about with things like that when I own a 1957 S1 88"....
