Cb strange behaviour

I have a CB fitted in my land rover and seems to work fine (set up with SWR meter) and used on a couple of green lane trips . Now a friend of mine also a 90 owner has bought himself a CB fitted it and also set up with SWR METER but He can't here anybody broadcasting on any channels where as I can sat in land rover next to him and if I key my mike and talk nothing comes through on his rig and vice versa . I have done search and not come across this prob , he has checked Ariel earth and still nowt (SWR readings below 2) can somebody enlighten me as driving us nuts ....

Is he set for EU band or UK?

You have hit the nail on the head , I presumed it was set to uk . Just been outside and tried it works spot on , nice when it is something simple . Thank you very much for that matt tdi appreciated .....:biggrin1:

No probs

One of my mates bought one from Thunderpole in Billing last year, was also set to Eu, took it back and the fella in the shop simply reset it and programmed it to UK, seemed a bit daft not to do it in the first place
