In my garage I have a complete CB set up that I'm never going to use again.
I'm not 'into' CB so my description will be what I know but don't ask me any technical questions.

The one thing I can tell you is that it definitely worked about a month ago. I was blowing local people's ears off and listening to conversations from miles away

It was put together by a mate who buys, sells and repairs these things and who owed me a large favour. He seemed to think that because I drive a 4x4 I should have a CB. So he gave me this kit and told me that he 'tweaked' the power a bit. I believe it might be operating at about 6 watts.

It consists of;
An old Amstrad CB901 radio that has lost all the printing from round it's dials but has switches saying PA-CB & ROGER & CHN 9. This has got a fused power lead to a cigarette lighter plug.
An Altai DMC 510 microphone that I was told was powered (?)
An neat, wee (4" x 2" x 2" approx) external speaker pod that came from an old in-car mobile phone kit. This has a mounting bracket and about 4 feet of cable to a jack plug that goes into the back of the radio.
I've kept the radio, speaker and mike in plastic bags to protect them from garage dirt.
A 6" mag mount with a stack of cable and the plug to screw into the radio.
An approximately 5 foot long aerial with a length adjuster at the bottom. This was brand new and still packed when I was given it. (If that makes any difference)

I put 'Bristol' in the title because I can't see the Post Office accepting a five foot long package so I doubt that I could post it, even if I could be bothered packing it all up.

How much? God knows?
I've had a nose on ebay but got confused when it seemed that the aerial was worth more than the radio!!
I'll say £60 but I'm open to offers. It just seems such a shame that it's just sat there.

As I said earlier on I think that it'll have to be collected - unless you've got any bright ideas for shipping.

Is it this one?

Yup, that's the boyo.

Wish I'd had that picture when I was using it, I was just twiddling knobs and hoping. Maybe that's why I was blowing peoples ears off!

I don't know if you charge extra for vintage equipment but that's about 30yrs old.... no wonder the labels have worn off.
But I have heard that model described as the Rolls Royce of its day.

Not sure about the price as you can get a new complete package starting at just over £70.

Told you I know nothing. Glad I put in 'offers'. Ah well if no-body wants it I'll just bin the lot, garage space is getting tight.

For the sake of stopping it going in the bin I'd give you a tenner. (it can sit in my cellar and gather dust) Unless you get any better offers.

If that's all it's worth to anyone I'd be sorry that I spent all that time typing the details in. I'd still like to think that there's somebody local who's just starting off laning or similar and could use it. Now I'd probably take £35 for the lot, just don't tell anyone.
