Knowing nothing about CB radios I turn to you knowledgeable folk hear.
I need some thing simple that does a reasonable job that's a fair price. Any suggestions please?

I use a T800 from thunderpole.
Works well enough for use when laning, main thing is to get the rig set up right , a good earth and set the SWR correctly.

Cheers

I know you have just ordered. However, I'd say also consider what you want to use it for and where you want to mount it.

You can generally buy as a 'kit' with aerial and mounting and pre SWR'd in.

Good mounting is essential.

However I'd say also consider PMR446, it runs at a lower output, but is a higher frequency and can offer other benefits, as well as cheap to buy handhelds.

I use both set ups
Pmrs for general chat to the gate bitch
Cb for other stuff.
I use a tcb550. A lot better now they have more channels.
As for an antenna mine is only a small type on the wing as you don’t need long distance.
(If I did I would dig out the old school stuff & the 200w burner)
