CB Radio Problem

Speaking of which me and gamekeeper james are about to go up to brill in a bit to DX with our CBs lol. If helps you can swap out just the CB unit from your rig with me or gamekeeperjames to see wether that's your problem. Or mic unit etc.

Im going over to Ludgershall in Brill in a bit, but I dont have the car + CB with me at the moment. :(
 
That only leaves the microphone or a blown output inside the CB. Usually caused by trying to transmit with no antenna attached.

Oh no :( thats not cool. Sounds expensive! We are going to see if our earthing is okay to the roof tomorrow and if that doesnt work, I will seek help for sure.
 
Even if the earthings non exsistant the needle should swing when you key the mic the fact it doesn't means that the meter or the lead from the meter to cb is knackered or the cb isn't transmitting anything.

It sounds like your a CB genius for sure. Is it possible for the lead to only receive rather than transmit though, as we are able to hear coversations clearly, when they are in range.
