CB Antenna Fitting?

I had had a good look around the the sunroof motor fittings and it looks like there is room just in front of it. There also seems to be enough space (depth) just there between the actual roof and the head lining.

Then I think you'd get away with popping off one of the 'A' post finishers inside the car, and feeding the coax from your drilled hole to the 'A' post, then just run it down inside the finisher, a quick shimmy and you'll be behind the dash. Bingo.

Great minds and all that. That was what I was hoping to do but wasn't to sure. I'll run it down the right hand side so that it comes out near the glove box and away from the steering/instrument panel. I should then be able to wiggle it through to the radio's location where I want it to connect.

Now, as said before, it's just the antenna's length to sort out.

Now I have got the antenna side sorted, I have just one simple question. I'm not too versed when it comes to the electrical side of things, so, how would one wire up to the battery?

I know there are other ways, ie into the fuse box, via the CD/radio or by using the lighter attachment (it's a Midland 42 Multi), but they say that for the best connection, connect it directly to the battery.
