Disco 4 (LR4) Car maintenance

Hi, I have a LR Discovery, 2010, the acceleration on the car has reduced significantly, is this an issue with the fuel injections? I love cars but no sod all about looking after them!!

If it is the fuel injections, does anyone know how much they cost to replace and does anyone know a reputable garage in Ayr to get it fixed? I considered going to the LR dealership in Ayr but expect that will be pricey.

You need to get a proper code reader on it and you are right, a landy dealer will be expensive.

Yes, to read the on board diagnostics. If there is a problem with the electrics or fuel system it should be stored as a code in the obd

Not noticed anything different with fuel consumption, there is smoke coming out when accelerating sometimes.

Might be worth checking the condition of all of the intercooler hoses for splits. They often fail and generate those symptoms as the hoses get older.

If you contact the guy I mentioned above he can tell you about the various TSBs for smoke on the 3.0, incl cracked manifolds, turbo oil return drain pipes and Im sure theres more, otherwise carry on guessing
