I had exactly the same issue as you, I was advised to turn the recirc button on the air con on to stop the wind blowing through the vents and upsetting the sonics inside, this was't the case, It turned out some water had got into the sensor for in cabin pressure situated between the sunroof and cabin light. I just locked mine with the key for a few weeks till it dried out and now it's fine. The key just locks the doors and doesn't activate the whole system, be carefull not turn it twice quickly because this does activate the whole system. It should be safe enough with just the doors locked.:)

Turning the key once in the driver’s door locks and monitors the doors/tailgate/bonnet (and roof on 3 doors).

Turning the key twice in the drivers door locks and superlocks the doors/tailgate and monitors the doors/tailgate/bonnet (and roof on 3 doors).

Locking the car wiff the remote locks and superlocks the doors/tailgate and monitors the doors/tailgate/bonnet (and roof on 3 doors). Also switches on volumetric sensing (movement inside the car). If the roof is removed when locked wiff the remote, volume sensing is not switched on.

If the roof is removed before being locked, then it will ignore the roof switch signal. It’s common for the roof switch to cause alarm triggers if the switch is ****ed or the roof not fitted correctly.
