Hi,
I have a 96 Disco which I bought about 2 months ago.
I have noticed that I cannot put the transfer lever into the "diff lock"
position. I have tried whilst the main box is in neutral, whilst the clutch
it down and whilst moving when in both high ratio, low ratio and when
transfer box was in neutral.
I have pushed it accross as hard as I possibly can, but it just will not
move accross!!
The garage I bought the car from said that if difflock has never been used,
it can become a bit stiff. They say if i take the car in to them, they will
rectify it for me free of charge. However, a round trip the garage is well
over 100 miles, so if anybody knows what the problem is likely to be then i
would rather save myself the trip and fix it myself.
Or could this signify a more series problem with the car?
Thanks,
Rick
