Got a fluke25 multimeter... what plugs where and what do I switch it to to check my battery voltage!! I got this from a friend some years back he is in the navy and works on submarines... so I think this is total overload for just a RR tnx

I have a black lead and a red one

Red lead in the hole with the red mark, black lead in the hole marked Com, control one click anti clockwise to the V with the straight line above it, stick the probes on your battery and read the voltage, assuming the internal battery is not flat if you have not used it for a while.
 
Nice one it worked its charging right now (got a free battery for me Series II) its reading right now 13.15 so its a good'un... tnx guys
 
OK come on what my name?? have a look at the top left hand side and tell me..... so YOU shoul know and explain things to me ... like when testing the Voltage take the charging leads OFF before you test the battery!!!! (its now reading 12.75) just taken off charge, numpty or what??
