can i put different tyres on my disco?

when i had my freelander i got told not to mix my tyres. is this the same for discos?
i have two off road tyres theres a mm difference in tread will this make a difference or not?
dont want to wind up my diff.

I would say if they are all the same size and type, ie all are road, MT or AT then you will be ok. But I personally wouldn't mix half MT with road for example. before i got ATs on my disco I had a different brand of road tyres on each corner and it was fine.

It would upset your stability on the road so don't do it, have all four the same

reason for warning on freelander is mixed tyres screw up the viscous unit. dont think its such a big deal on disco as long as all same size

i was looking at part worn tyres for my freelander the tyre place warned me. i thought they were trying to talk me into spending more but after looking into it im glad i did
