Good afternoon all,

Is it possible to position and fit a Bulkhead (series 3 SWB) without any doors for reference as I don’t have any yet?
(if anyone has a good set of bottoms and tops give me a shout out)

I have read something about having a 34.5” gap as a reference but don’t know if it’s best with a door?

I have the tub for the rear so can use that as a start, any help or advice appreciated

Thanks

Listen to codfather79…hard learned experience by the sound of it. I did that once and then spent a lot of time readjusting…and going over my life choices around land rovers. My 90 is 5mm longer on the right side from the left so this was fun to put back together🤬

Had to adjust just about every single item.
Never, ever fit anything tight. Roof, side frames, tubs, wings bulkheads etc before checking everything lines up.

We live and learn 🤔🙄

As above, fit with no washers. And don't tighten. Then add washers when your are doing the alignment. You can cut a chunk out of the washers, so that they are U shaped spacers instead. Saves you taking the bolt out ....

I've just finished putting an aftermarket bulkhead (Paddocks) onto an older aftermarket chassis (unknown) so all I had were original doors to assist in lining it all up. O/S needed 19mm of washers ahead of the outrigger and N/S needed only 5mm.
These modern aftermarket parts must have zero quality control.
