Can anyone tell me what this is, I know about the mess of wires (in the middle of a rewire). It looks like it goes into the steering box.

It's one of those modern plastic coil sprung things. A car of some sort. Probably got those fancy wind up windows and such like.

Thing is, if they're in the engine bay they're very sharp when cut off and catch your hands
