Recently bought this 90 I do not have any idea what this is on the rear of the front axle[/URL][/IMG]
Harmonic damper, supposed to reduce vibrations from the axle

didn't think they came on defenders mind.. they not disco or rrc axles?
Thanks for putting a name to it does it need to stay on or should it be removed

I don't know what the axles are from the rear is disc so been swaped as the 90 is a 1989

Up to you really, Land Rover must have thought they made a difference or they wouldn't have fitted them. However I think most people rip them off

Hard to tell but it looks like you have later radius arms so I think it may have been replaced aswell
Think I'll remove it then as never seen one before
