Can anyone confirm this is a Land Rover Defender fitment?

Arse!
If so, I take it I have to drill out the bumper?

If I can make it fit it will, might take a bit of twanging to get my spots mounted on it. They look like crap mounted on the bumper.

They are dead good at smashing your bonnet and wing tops the ffirst time you nudge into somehting hard!

Ps I like the grill

+1, they cause more damage when they do get hit by a solid object, and make like doubly difficult to fix.

Cheers

Where d’ya get the spots from?

Found a pair of NOS on eBay for the grand sum of 45 quid! Covers arnt new but not too shabby either. And they are proper spots and not the lesser not so coveted fog lamps that sellers seem to get confused over. No doubt some pond life will try and steal them, had my highlights stolen so this time Ill be ready!!

Bargain at that price. I’m looking for some ‘period’ spots too (that sounds wrong), I got a pair of Hellas for £10, but I chucked half of one away with the old, broken set. Doh. I’m not a fan of the more modern looking lamps on the older Landies.

No, period correct is the way to go,Wipac Hairraisers come up from time to time as do 20/20's, NOS come along from time to time, has to be 7 inches though, anything less just doesnt give you the penetration you deserve.

Smear some grease on the fixing bolts, the dirtier the better, A to srtop them seizing and B keep the scuzzers at bay.

I just offered them up and they dont fit, they dont line up with the bumper mounting bolts, series ones are the same as Defender ones arnt they?

Having had bull-bar (S111) and then an A-bar (90) in the past, I now prefer the naked look and retro style spots.
Spots are Hella Rallye (3000 I think) with fantastic performance. Every other light is LED but I have stuck with the Hella's as they are just so good (have been on for about 10-years now).

Having gone completely off-thread (and been no help whatsoever to the original question) I thought I would throw in a couple of pic's of my old S111 SWB V8 fitted with what was then probably the ultimate in bulbar bad taste!
By this stage (I think about 1989-1991) I think I had done just about everything that could be done to a poor old S111 and not long after it was sold on to be replaced with a 101FC.
The wrap-around bull-bar (remember them?) was trimmed at the edges to miss the 9.00x16's and then side-bars added which bolted to the front roll-bar chassis mounts. VERY strong and most definitely NOT pedestrian friendly but they were different days and the insurance company had no problems with it.
