Hi there, does anybody know where I could buy a camel trophy plaque in pressed alloy as per the original ones? I can only find them in cast iron! It's for the front bumper. Thanks

I need exactly the same thing and can only find the cast iron ones. Did you ever find the pressed ones?
Hi there, I haven't found one as yet for the front. I may have to resort to a sticker mounted on a metal plate. I think the original ones are like dead mans shoes.
Do you have a series camel? As I don't know anyone else who has. Mines not a original camel, but through out its life, it's ended up as one. Since I bought it, I've just carried on with that theme as I've been maintaining and restoring it. It nice to have something a little bit different on the road.

Im just curious -

Id have thought a cast part would be better than a sticker on a plate? I know neither are spot on, but the cast item 'seems' like a nicer option?

I'm currently making a discovery 1 in to a camel then I'm driving it from the uk to Malaysia with 3 friends in a gap year before I'm off to uni
I read that all the camel series where all striped of all the equipment by Land Rover and then sold as second hand
I would have thought that the cast iron ones would be to heavy especially where it is placed

Id suspect that its not cast "iron" but cast "somthing else" - simply as casting iron is a lot more expensive (in small volume) than casting alloy.

I had a chat with the camel trophy owners club at the Land Rover oweners show and the cast iron ones are too small for a series, discovery or defender and will only fit the freelanders, they do a replica one that's printed on a flat layer of aluminium so it's not pressed but looks okay, I'm now currently looking for a series to restore and turn in to a camel one even though I still haven't finished the disco camel replica but it's almost there now
