cambelt ( i have searched for info )

hi
Im thinking of buying a disco 200 tdi i have searched for the info i need but cannot seem to find it.
I am aware that the cambelt should be changed every 50 - 60 k but do you just change the belt or do you have to change the water pump & tensioners too ?
Im trying to get a cost on whats needed before i buy it !
Any advice greatly appreciated

water pump no(unless it nacked)
tensioner prob good idea while your in there but not esential

Hi Stu, you don't need to change the water pump at the same time, but if you don't know the vehicles history it would be prudent. The idler and tensioner should be changed at the same time - so all is new and good for many thousands of miles ahead.
