Hi guys wife was on way home and lost all power iv took cambelt cover off to find adjuster all out off shape and half the cambelt shreeded other half still round pulleys but loose wat damage do you think it will have caused both cams still turn by spanner helpppppppppp

If it's the K 1.8 series it's an interference engine which normally means valves bent as a minimum.
I've known engine where it's put a hole in the piston.
You could put a new belt on and turn it over by hand to see if it locks up.
Other wise it's a case of strip it down and see what damage has been done.
I know that teh V6 has the same situation.

Yep I am afraid the only way to really check is to strip it down. I had a belt go on another car and fitted a new one - to my surprise it ran OK but then failed the MOT on emissions - something after all was bent.

if its just the valves bent i found on mine it was cheaper to get another head being £30 from my local friendly scrappy when you get the head gasket set ML/steel make sure its a full set with head bolts and valve stem oil seals
