Shall be fitting extended brake lines to my disco 1 at some point once ive got all the parts to lift it 2" and I know caliper bleed nipples can be a pain to undo without snapping or rounding. Was wondering if I applied a little heat to help undo the nipple would i damage the caliper in anyway ?

I use a proper hex socket on a 1/4 " drive and it just about fits on and being a hex socket there's no chance of it rounding off. You could also apply some penetration fluid before you start. Personally I try and stay away from using heat

Even if you do snap it off (which is unlikely), new calipers are quite cheap and easy to fit.
My Disco is +2" using cheapo blocks under the springs and I still have to original length hoses.
When you do the lift, either remove the rear anti roll bar or refit it will two inch spacer blocks as I have. You can use towbar spacer blocks for this.

Good idea, I would use a socket to loosen it then a proper brake spanner, almost always successful
Good Luck

Not sure if this would work but I have mine to do shortly and I will be painting some rust remover on it first, then washing it off followed by wire brush, lubricant and hex socket. Is that any good? Never tried this before.
