can't you just bell it out with a multi meter??
Can you get a pic of the front so i can see the switch positions?
It doesn't look too hard to work out, you could just try it............

If I could find the bloody thing! The top position is OFF, bottom is ON so I'm assuming the middle is ON with doors open.

I thought that the door switches supplied the earth to the lamp, so you run a + to the lamp.

right i got it!!! I think!
terminal on the left is positive, terminal on the right goes to door switches, then when the switch is in the other position it uses the earth through the lamp where the mounting screw goes, therefore leaving it on, whether the doors are open or not!!!
