hello everyone,
excuse the newbie questions.
I am looking hard at a td5 defender 90 that has the wrong info on the DVLA websight. the car is built on an old chassis number but on the surface looks like a softop defender 90. it soulds ok and runs ok. nice alloy wheels and all that but..... "all that glitters" and all that.
what should i look for to make sure that this is a genuine car? I have been told that there is paperwork to support the rebuild but I have not seen it to read.
Apart from walk away - what would the group advise?
should i look for the obvious thing and check the chassis and engine numbers against the v5? would it be worth a hpi check?
thanks for your advice.
