Very good point rnddave, about save a bit for the inevitable repairs, having said that I have just spent £280 on the alloys having them refurbed, they look spanking, not really required, but I always noticed them, so I had to do it. I didn't realise it was an 11 year old post either, I just made a comment.

Might just chime in here too chaps!

Came very close to purchasing a RR earlier this year but went for a C350 instead! However with winter en route I’m now thinking of taking the plunge. Was going to max out 12k budget but might just make it 10k reading your latest posts! I know they are generally unreliable and uneconomical but Christ I want one!

Any advice gratefully received!

I am too am looking for L322 and will heed the advice to keep a little fund back just in case. My previous P38 dse was a nightmare but when it was running well it was great, i think it had had many years of neglect and i did not do my checks. I bought the car long distance only seeing/driving it on purchase at night in a rush to get on with a very long trip home ( pictures looked good, not a good idea).
However still think they are great cars
