hi im totally impressed with 2005 1.8litre petrol freelander after a test drive it has 50lkms and is in great nick what should i look out for when buying thanks in advance

god your funny..

The 1.8 Freelander is probably the best car Land Rover ever made. Grown men dribble and produce arse gravy at the mere mention of its wonderfully designed head gasket. I, for one, would gladly sell my testicles just to be able to lick the entire engine clean. It is a miracle of top quality engineering.

Look, research that engine. But yes, chances are its gonna be a moneypit. Get a diesel is the general opinion if you must have a freelander.

Whats your job? Do you work with chemicals and rollers?

Just dont buy one even if its for free it'll cost you more than my defender does....
My v6 was free and it's cost a fortune to repair. But that doesn't mean I is agreeing wiff cow **** man. Coz ee's a durdy tratter boy.

Freelander 1 diesel is much much much betterer than Freelander 1 petrols. Freelander 2's are ok too, but the early ones had faults, like any new type of car does, many of which got sorted out. They're just too expensive to buy second hand. Keep looking on ere for what goes wrong, and you'll learn loads.
